Weak Yen Boosts Japan's Multinationals
Japanese multinational companies are benefiting from the weak yen, leading to an increase in their full-year profit forecasts. Toyota, Sony, and Muji are among those that have upgraded their forecasts.
The median expectation for the yen's value is close to 154 per dollar this month, up from 150 at the end of May. This indicates a weakening outlook for the currency from Japanese corporations.
This trend is in line with recent developments in the currency market, where the yen recently dipped below 160 against the US dollar.
