Won-Dollar Exchange Rate Hits 13-Month Low Amid Heavy Dollar Selling

The won-dollar exchange rate has fallen to its lowest level in over 13 months. According to data from the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-to-US dollar exchange rate closed down at 1,368.6 won on July 31st.

This marks a decline of 3.9 won compared to the previous day's closing time and represents the lowest level since July 8th last year when it reached 1,367.9 won.

The exchange rate saw an initial rise in early trading before expanding its losses throughout the afternoon, reaching an intraday low of 1,367.9 won around 3:22 p.m. today.
