Won Hits Strongest Level in 23 Months Amid Steady Gains
The South Korean won has reached its strongest level in 23 months, trading at 1,345 to the US dollar on September 4.
According to exchange rate boards at a currency exchange booth in Myeongdong, central Seoul, the won has been steadily gaining value over the past few days.
The local currency touched its strongest level since June 2022, with the exchange rate showing a slight increase from its previous high of 1,352 per dollar on September 6.
