XRP's 10-Day Gauntlet: Inflation Data, Senate Vote, and Central Banks Converge
XRP holders are bracing for a highly eventful period ahead as several key macroeconomic and regulatory catalysts converge in a span of just ten days. Finance analyst Austin Hilton has been warning about this '10-day gauntlet,' which could lead to sharp swings not only in XRP but across the entire digital asset space.
The sequence begins with the release of the Producer Price Index for September 10, followed by the Consumer Price Index on September 11. A hotter-than-expected PPI print or a higher-than-anticipated CPI figure could lead to increased expectations of a more hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve and dim hopes for monetary accommodation.
Hilton noted that XRP's recent price action has been positive, with the token up around 0.17% at the time of his remarks and having climbed about 6% over the prior week. He also pointed to the market's positive reaction following the U.S. Treasury Department's announcement of a bond buyback program.
The analyst flagged the September 15 Senate vote on the Clarity Act, legislation designed to establish a clearer regulatory definition for digital assets. While he described the legislative environment as a 'nightmare' and the bill as 'effectively dead on arrival,' he expressed his desire to be proven wrong and pledged to publicly acknowledge any unexpected progress if the vote defies his expectations.
