Yamaha Motor Corporation is reporting its highest numbers ever for revenue, operating profit, and net profit in a six-month period. The company credits multiple factors, including higher unit sales and more advantageous exchange rates, for its record-breaking profits.

The majority of Yamaha's business is conducted outside of Japan, with over 93% of its sales coming from international markets as of December 2024. This has resulted in favorable exchange rates when converting currencies to yen.

Yamaha's Land Mobility Business, which includes motorcycles and e-bikes, saw revenues climb by 21.8% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, while operating profit rose by a staggering 89.8%. The company has revised its full-year 2026 financial forecast up by an additional 200 billion yen in revenue and 80 billion yen in operating profit.

The Outdoor Land Vehicles segment, however, still reported an operating loss of 12.0 billion yen, although this is down from the previous year's loss of 13.7 billion yen.
