Yang Joins OSFI as Deputy Superintendent of Risk Strategy
Jing Yang has joined the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) as deputy superintendent of risk, strategy and policy. This appointment is effective August 24th.
Yang will lead OSFI's regulatory modernization efforts, overseeing policy and guideline development, approvals, risk surveillance, strategic planning, and data governance. She brings extensive experience from the Bank of Canada, where she was managing director of economic and financial research.
Before joining the Bank of Canada, Yang worked at the Bank for International Settlements and the Bank of England for over a decade. She also held a position at the European Central Bank. Superintendent Peter Routledge said that Yang's experience in financial stability, risk assessment, and public policy will be critical as OSFI advances its work.
