Yen Rises as Dollar Weakens Amid Fed Decision

The Japanese yen strengthened on Thursday, trading around 163.5 per dollar after rebounding from the previous session.

This increase in value was supported by broad dollar weakness following the Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates unchanged.

However, not all members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) agreed with this decision, as three members dissented in favor of a rate hike. Chair Kevin Warsh emphasized that keeping rates steady does not mean policy inertia and markets will continue to respond to incoming economic data.
