Yen Slumps Past 160 Per Dollar Amid US Inflation Commitment
The yen has weakened past the key level of 160 per dollar, reversing more than half of its gains from intervention efforts.
This drop comes after Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh expressed his commitment to hitting the central bank's inflation target, boosting the value of the US dollar in the process.
The Japanese currency slipped as much as 0.4% to 160.01 against the greenback before steadying out.
