Yen's Intervention Gains Erode as Traders Anticipate Fresh Intervention
The yen's recent intervention-driven gains are slowly unraveling, sparking speculation among traders that authorities may step in again to stabilize the currency.
After reaching a high of 155.23 against the dollar on Monday, the yen has been steadily losing ground and is currently trading around 158.45, a decline of nearly half its intervention-driven gains.
This comes after a joint operation by Japan and the US to buy up the yen saw it reach a four-decade low around 164 per dollar last week.
