Zcash Price Drops to $1,140 Amid Macroeconomic Uncertainty
Zcash's price has dropped from $1,300 in recent days, but analysts suggest it may not be over yet. The token has recovered to around $1,140 after falling nearly 6% over the past seven days.
Despite the pullback, market activity remains high, with ZEC recording approximately $1.4 billion in trading volume, equivalent to more than 7% of its circulating market capitalization.
The Federal Reserve's upcoming meeting on September 16 is a key factor influencing the cryptocurrency market, particularly for Zcash. Inflation remains above the central bank's 2% target, and traders may reduce risk ahead of the Fed's decision.
Zcash has outperformed much of the market in 2026, gaining around 116%. The asset's privacy technology and clearly defined use case appear to be driving demand.
