Zelensky Arrives in Canada for Talks on Defense, Economy and Energy Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Canada for a series of talks with Canadian leaders, marking another step in his efforts to strengthen ties with allies. The visit comes as part of Ukraine's bid to deepen cooperation with countries that have supported it during Russia's war of aggression.

The meeting between Zelensky and Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to focus on shared priorities between Canada and Ukraine, including defense, economy, and energy cooperation. According to a statement from the Canadian government, the visit will address 'the human cost of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine' and highlight strong people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska are scheduled to attend events in Calgary, Toronto, and North Bay, as well as meeting with government officials in Banff, Alberta. The visit is expected to conclude on Friday.
