$10 Billion Coca-Cola Infrastructure Push Targets US Market
Coca-Cola is making a significant investment in US infrastructure, planning to spend $10 billion by 2030. The company has outlined its multi-year push, which includes projects announced previously in California, Colorado, Alabama, and New York. This investment covers not only Coca-Cola's own capital spending but also that of its bottling partners.
Coca-Cola's system, including the company and its partners, contributed $85 billion to US GDP last year and supported nearly 1 million jobs, according to an independent study. The system also spent about $37 billion with US suppliers and donated $177 million to community programs in partnership with The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
The company's CFO, John Murphy, stated that the $10 billion total includes bottling partners as well as Coca-Cola itself. This investment is a significant commitment to the US market, where Coca-Cola has a substantial presence.
