$100 Apple Bet in 2010 Now Worth Over $4,000
An investor who put $100 into Apple at the beginning of 2010 would be sitting on roughly $4,180 as of late August 2026, a gain of about 4,080%.
The math is straightforward once stock splits are accounted for. Apple's split-adjusted share price was around $7.65 in early January 2010, and the stock closed at $319.70 on August 28, 2026. At that entry price, $100 would have bought a little more than 13 shares, which are now worth approximately $4,180 before dividends.
The discrepancy between Apple's historical share prices can be attributed to two stock splits since then: a seven-for-one split in June 2014 and a four-for-one split in August 2020. This means that a single share purchased in early 2010 has become 28 shares today, which is why the split-adjusted entry price works out to roughly $7.65.
