$131 Billion Boeing Deal Seals Future of F-15 Fighter Jets
The US Department of War has awarded Boeing a $131.23 billion contract to sustain, modernize, and produce F-15 Eagle fighters for American and allied fleets through August 2037.
The agreement, known as the F-15 Eagle Crest program, creates a long-duration acquisition framework connecting aircraft production, systems integration, fleet upgrades, depot maintenance, and combat-readiness support under one contractual structure.
The contract's maximum potential ceiling does not represent an immediate $131.23 billion purchase, as actual expenditure will depend on funded orders, approved requirements, annual budgets, and participating foreign military sales programs.
The F-15EX Eagle II variant combines digital fly-by-wire controls, an advanced active electronically scanned array radar, and the Eagle Passive/Active Warning Survivability System, improving sensor performance, electronic warfare awareness, and survivability over earlier Eagle variants.
