$131 Billion F-15 Eagle Contract Secured by Boeing with Multiple International Buyers
Boeing has secured a massive contract worth $131.23 billion to produce and modernize the F-15 Eagle fighter jet for various military customers, including the US Air Force and several foreign nations. The agreement, announced on August 24, covers aircraft production, systems integration, upgrades, retrofits, and sustainment over an eight-year period.
The contract also includes the establishment of organic depot maintenance capabilities to maintain critical F-15 weapon system capabilities. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, with the overall contract expected to be completed by August 2037.
Notably, the contract involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Poland, which has been interested in acquiring the latest F-15EX Eagle II fighter jets. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity for the agreement.
Poland's acquisition of F-15s would complement its existing fleet of F-35A and F-16 fighters, providing additional capabilities to combat air targets and strike ground and surface objects. The contract announcement lists Poland among FMS customers of the F-15 Eagle, a significant development for the country's military modernization efforts.
