Occidental Asset Management LLC has invested $13.13 million in Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) by purchasing 55,103 shares during the second quarter.

The investment makes up approximately 1.3% of Occidental's portfolio and is its twelfth largest position.

A number of other institutional investors have also increased their stakes in AMZN, including Trust Asset Management LLC and Elkhorn Partners Limited Partnership.

Despite the strong investor interest, there are concerns about Amazon's AI buildout requiring heavy capital spending and new debt, as well as potential changes to Ohio data-center tax incentives that could impact project economics.
