$1.5 Billion Valuation for Muon Space as It Expands Satellite Manufacturing
Muon Space, a satellite constellation developer, has secured $250 million in its Series C funding round, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. The round was led by Eclipse Capital and included participation from Alphabet-owned Google, Salesforce Ventures, and Wellington Management.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Muon Space's manufacturing capabilities, which are expected to reach up to 500 satellites per year by 2027. The company currently has over 50 satellites in development for customers, with commercial clients accounting for a larger share of its existing orders than government clients.
Muon Space CEO Jonny Dyer stated that the company has achieved a 100% mission success rate across six launch missions, with seven satellites launched in the first half of 2026. The company is also discussing dedicated capacity with launch providers other than SpaceX to reduce its reliance on rideshare launches.
