A man from Etobicoke, Ontario had his TD Visa card approved for a $3,200 purchase despite entering an incorrect PIN. The incident occurred in August 2026.

According to Mark Sach-Anderson, the purchase was made without any issues when he entered the wrong PIN, which he claimed is a standard protocol at TD Bank.

A cyberfraud expert disagrees with this assessment, stating that it warrants a serious investigation. The bank has not commented on the incident beyond its initial statement.
