$4 Trillion Club Poised for New Members by 2028
The $4 trillion club is comprised of three companies: Nvidia, Apple, and Alphabet. However, there are indications that new members will be joining by 2028.
Microsoft and Amazon need to return to normal valuations to gain entry into the club. Microsoft currently trades at 24 times forward earnings, while its historical average is around 30 times forward earnings. If it reaches this level again, its market cap would increase by 23%, placing it above $4 trillion.
A similar catalyst exists for Amazon, which is trading at 21 times forward earnings compared to its typical range of 30 times forward earnings. A rise in valuation to this level would result in a 44% growth in its market cap, moving it into the $4 trillion club by 2027.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) must grow its way into the $4 trillion club, with analysts expecting it to grow at a compound annual rate of around 28%. This is slightly below its expected growth rate and positions TSMC well to reach the target valuation by 2028.
