$4.25 Billion Revolving Credit Facility Secured by 3M Amid Refinancing Efforts
3M, a multinational conglomerate, has secured a $4.25 billion unsecured revolving credit facility led by JPMorgan as administrative agent. The five-year agreement was entered on August 17, 2026, and features ratings-based pricing on Base Rate, Term SOFR, or EURIBOR borrowings, plus a commitment fee on unused amounts.
The new facility includes an accordion to $5.25 billion and options to extend up to two additional one-year periods, subject to lender approval. This refinancing is expected to enhance liquidity and financial flexibility for the company.
The terminated 2023 five-year revolving credit agreement with JPMorgan and other lenders was simultaneously replaced by the new facility. The termination date of August 17, 2026, marked the end of this agreement, which had no exit fees or payments associated with it.
