$50M Disney Settlement: Claim Your Payout Before September Deadline
A class action settlement worth $50 million is available to millions of YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream subscribers. This comes from the Biddle v. Disney lawsuit, which alleged that The Walt Disney Company's programming practices drove up the cost of streaming live television services.
The lawsuit was filed in federal court in California and accused Disney of violating antitrust laws by requiring distributors to include certain channels in base packages. This allegedly limited the ability of streaming providers to offer lower-cost alternatives.
Consumers who purchased a YouTube TV or DirecTV streaming subscription between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026 may be eligible for compensation. Eligible customers can submit a claim online through the settlement website or by mail before the September 8 deadline.
