AAPL Stock Soars with John Ternus at the Helm
Apple's stock (AAPL) has risen by 3% on September 1 as John Ternus takes over as the new CEO, replacing Tim Cook who served for 15 years. Ternus sent a message to all staff thanking Cook and focusing on Apple's upcoming product launch scheduled for September 9.
Ternus is a veteran executive at Apple, having worked there for 25 years since joining the product design team in 2001. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2021 after serving as vice president of hardware engineering since 2013.
As Ternus begins his tenure, he has a huge launch next week that's expected to be 'phenomenal.'
