The Pokémon franchise is teaming up with British stop-motion studio Aardman Animations to create an animated series, 'Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu'. This show will be the first Pokémon animated series to originate on Disney and will air on Disney XD in 2027.

The new series follows the adventures of Sirfetch'd and Pichu as they travel across the Galar Region, helping other Pokémon in need. Aardman Animations is known for its work on 'Wallace and Gromit' and 'Shaun the Sheep', so fans can expect a visually stunning show.

Pokémon Director of Original Animation Phil Rynda praised Aardman's contribution to the series, saying that their unique style brings an exciting new perspective to the Pokémon universe.
