McDonald's has been facing challenges with weak U.S. traffic and value-offer execution problems. However, the company recently reported a beat on its quarterly earnings, thanks in part to franchised operations. Analysts remain cautious about the company's prospects, but some are optimistic about its potential for growth.
McDonald's has also been working to improve its performance with various initiatives, including a workforce scheduling and transportation app that helped one franchise avoid missed shifts and save $35,000 per month. The company is also experimenting with limited-time promotions and an afternoon-focused menu strategy aimed at attracting customers from Starbucks.
