Accenture and Google are partnering to send 1,000 engineers into the field to help clients with AI. The consulting giant is teaming up with Google Cloud to deploy AI agents and make them more efficient for businesses. Accenture's new Gemini Enterprise Business Group will work closely with major clients on integrating AI into their workflows.

The group's forward-deployed engineers, numbering 1,000, will embed with clients to help them roll out AI across their businesses. This role was popularized by Palantir and is now one of the most in-demand jobs in tech. The investment also includes plans to expand Gemini Enterprise training for 50,000 Accenture employees.

The deal works both ways: AI firms have little time to focus on implementation and sales, so consultants step in to fill the gap. In return, consultancies attach themselves to top names in tech and get access to enterprise-grade tools for their own workforces. Accenture partnered with ChatGPT last December and expanded its partnership with Anthropic a week later.
