Accenture Boosts Security Ops with Microsoft Defender XDR
Accenture has achieved significant improvements in its security operations thanks to Microsoft Defender XDR. The company's teams can now conduct investigations up to 30% faster, saving around 750 hours per month on incident response.
The key to this success lies in the unified telemetry experience provided by Microsoft Sentinel, which centralizes data and enables identity-aware visibility across Accenture's environment. This allows analysts to explore raw data behind alerts more thoroughly and reach conclusions faster.
Accenture also uses Microsoft Entra ID as a foundational layer for identity, supporting secure access decisions and helping investigations connect activity to authenticated users and sessions. Device trust is integrated through Microsoft Intune, ensuring that endpoints meet policy requirements and remain compliant.
The company has scaled automation and brought AI into its workflow, with around 20% of incidents fully resolved automatically and 80% incorporating automated remediation. Accenture is now evaluating Microsoft Security Copilot to further accelerate response times.
