Accenture Joins IBM and Deloitte in Settling DEI Discrimination Claims
A consulting firm, Accenture, has agreed to pay $25 million to settle allegations that it discriminated against employees and applicants in federal contracts from 2017 to 2026.
The Department of Justice accused Accenture of taking race or sex into account when making hiring and promotion decisions.
Accenture's settlement is the third major consultancy to reach a million-dollar deal this year under the Civil Rights Fraud Initiative, launched by Attorney General Todd Blanche in May 2025.
IBM agreed to pay $17 million and Deloitte paid out $21.5 million for similar allegations of employment discrimination.
