Ackman Bets Big on AI Stocks Amidst Strong Q4 Results
Pershing Square Capital Management CEO Bill Ackman has significant stakes in several artificial intelligence (AI) stocks, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms. These holdings reflect his value-oriented approach to investing, where he buys companies that are currently out of favor and holds them until they are fully valued.
Ackman's largest holding is Microsoft, which accounts for 15% of Pershing Square's portfolio. He initiated this position in Q1 2026 and has seen significant returns after the company posted impressive quarterly results, with 43% Azure revenue growth and a 23% increase in earnings per share.
Amazon also delivered strong results, with its cloud computing division Amazon Web Services (AWS) growing at a 37% pace. This blowout quarter could be the catalyst for a huge run in Amazon's stock. However, Meta Platforms had a disappointing quarter, with its operating margin shrinking due to rising operating costs from AI talent.
Despite this, Ackman remains patient and believes that Meta's growth rate is still among the fastest of the big tech companies. He initiated his position in Meta during Q4 2025 and holds about 11% of Pershing Square's portfolio in the stock.
