Ackman Shakes Up Portfolio with Big Bets on Netflix, Visa
Bill Ackman's investment portfolio has undergone its biggest overhaul in years. The billionaire investor revealed six new holdings, including Netflix (NFLX-Q), Visa (V-N), and Mastercard (MA-N). This marks a significant change for Ackman, who traditionally owns no more than a dozen companies.
Ackman acquired shares of these companies starting in the second quarter, which will be held in his investment funds, including Pershing Square USA (SUS-N), listed on the New York Stock Exchange in April. He also revealed that his funds are investing in Alcon (ALC-N), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE-N), and S&P Global (SPGI-N).
Ackman believes these companies' earnings are poised for strong growth, which he views as the greatest driver of investment value over time. This is not the first time Ackman has invested in Netflix; he held shares briefly in 2022 before selling at a loss.
