Ackman Unveils Biggest Portfolio Overhaul in Years with Six New Holdings
Billionaire investor Bill Ackman has made significant changes to his portfolio by adding six new holdings, including Netflix, Visa, and Mastercard. This marks the biggest overhaul in years for Ackman's investment funds, which typically own no more than a dozen companies.
Ackman stated that he believes these firms' earnings are poised for strong growth, which he views as the greatest driver of investment value over time.
The new additions include eye care firm Alcon, exchange operator Intercontinental Exchange, and financial data provider S&P Global. Ackman's funds have performed well in the long term but have faced challenges recently, with Pershing Square USA down 3.5% for the year and London-listed Pershing Square Holdings down 9.2%
Ackman has been busy this year, listing his hedge fund and new stock picking fund Pershing Square USA on the New York Stock Exchange and exiting his position in Universal Music Group after a rejected $65 billion takeover bid.
