Ackman's AI Portfolio: Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta Platforms Among Top Holdings
Investors seeking exposure to the artificial intelligence (AI) trend can learn from billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman's holdings. As the CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, Ackman has significant stakes in several major AI-related companies. Three of his notable positions are Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT), and Meta Platforms (META).
One of Ackman's characteristics as an investor is that he favors value-oriented stocks, buying into companies that are currently out of favor. He initiated a large stake in Microsoft during Q1 2026, with the company's stock accounting for 15% of Pershing Square's portfolio. Microsoft has been steadily growing its cloud computing division, Azure, with a 43% revenue increase in its recent fiscal year Q4 results.
Ackman also owns Amazon (AMZN), which saw significant growth in its cloud computing division, AWS, with a 37% pace nearly matching Azure's growth rate. While Amazon's stock price has been relatively flat until recently, the strong Q2 results could be the catalyst for a huge run. Meta Platforms (META) is another AI-related holding of Ackman's, although the company did not have as impressive a quarter and its stock sold off 8% following earnings.
