Adactin Bolsters Microsoft Capabilities with FDG Acquisition
Australia-based technology services provider Adactin has made significant moves to strengthen its Microsoft business applications capabilities through an acquisition.
The company acquired Melbourne-based Focus Dynamics Group (FDG), adding 82 staff and bolstering its Dynamics 365, ERP, and Azure capabilities.
According to Navneesh Garg, Adactin's CEO, the deal was driven by a desire to deepen Microsoft play. He stated that FDG was a 'really good fit' due to its complementary skills and customer base, with FDG focusing on manufacturing and commercial customers while Adactin serves the government and public sector.
The acquisition follows a relatively quick process, completing in just three months. Garg emphasized that cultural alignment was as important as capability fit, stating 'we had a deadline of 31 August, and we closed it on deadline day.'
