Adelaide Rises as Global Business Travel Hotspot
Adelaide has emerged as one of the world's top business travel destinations, according to American Express' Trendex report.
The city was named alongside Hyderabad in India and Manchester in the UK as a leading destination for international corporate travel, driven by a surge in spending and commercial developments.
The Amex Trendex: Business Travel Edition report highlights Adelaide's growth in innovation precincts, increased transit capacity, and major airline route expansions, including United Airlines' new service from San Francisco last December.
Major events are also playing a significant role in shaping the business travel landscape, with 93% of business travelers planning to attend events in 2026, and 84% agreeing that investing in events helps their company stand out from competitors.
