Adventurous Businessman John Ruckrich Passes Away at 89

John Ruckrich, a devoted father and husband, passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 89. He lived a life filled with adventure and love for his family. Born in Chicago on June 25, 1937, John graduated from DePaul University with a degree in business and economics. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he worked at IBM, where he helped launch the company's new computer west of the Mississippi.

John's international career took him to over a dozen countries, including India, which became his favorite country. He also spent time teaching others about stock exchanges and property ownership. In 1996, John retired from Price Waterhouse and moved to Frankfort, Michigan, where he joined local choirs and enjoyed hiking and traveling.

John is survived by his daughter, son, grandchildren, brother, and companion Sharon McKinley. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Frankfort, with an intimate service following on August 24 at LaGrange Bible Church.
