Afcom Holdings Doubles Down on Long-Haul Cargo with Boeing Deal
Afcom Holdings has signed a letter of intent to acquire four Boeing 777-8F freighter aircraft, marking its entry into the long-haul international market. The move is expected to boost the company's capacity by fivefold and help it capture larger shipment volumes.
The delivery schedule for the new aircraft is set for 2028, which signals a major infrastructure play for the company. However, investors should monitor Afcom Holdings' capital spending and debt levels required to fund this expansion.
Afcom Holdings has already demonstrated strong financial performance, with standalone revenue increasing by approximately 47.9% in Q1 FY27. The company has also increased its borrowing limit to ₹500 crore to support the aircraft acquisition.
However, investors should be aware of several factors that may impact the success of this expansion. The agreement is currently a non-binding letter of intent, and transitioning from a narrow-body fleet to a wide-body operation involves complex operational changes.
