Afcom Holdings Signs Deal for Four Boeing 777-8F Freighters
Afcom Holdings, an integrated air cargo solutions company, has signed a Letter of Intent with The Boeing Company to acquire up to four Boeing 777-8F Freighter Aircraft. This move marks a significant step in Afcom's fleet expansion and international growth strategy, aimed at strengthening its capabilities for long-haul air cargo operations.
The proposed addition will provide Afcom with significantly increased capacity, as the Boeing 777 wide-body freighters have about five times the capacity of the company's existing B737-800 freighters. These new aircraft are planned for long-haul sectors requiring over 10-12 hours of flying.
Captain Deepak Parasuraman, Chairman & Managing Director of Afcom Holdings, stated that this proposed acquisition is an important step in the growth journey, giving the company greater scale and flexibility to pursue larger cargo opportunities. The focus will remain on disciplined expansion, efficient execution, and building a stronger, more connected air cargo business for the long term.
