Africa's Air Traffic Takes Off: Boeing Forecasts Doubling of Fleet by 2045

Africa's air traffic is on the rise, driven by growing passenger numbers and rising demand for commercial flights. According to Boeing, Africa's fleet will double by 2045, with the continent's commercial fleet expected to grow from 755 to 1,625 aircraft over the next 20 years.

This growth will be fueled by a 6.5% annual increase in passenger traffic and a 7.1% annual growth rate for all routes in the Africa-Middle East region.

However, Boeing faces stiff competition from European, Brazilian, and Chinese manufacturers, including Airbus and Embraer, which specialize in mid-range aircraft.
