Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang believes that the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure will create numerous high-paying jobs for skilled tradespeople. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, he described this development as the 'largest infrastructure build-out in human history.'

The construction drive to build AI data centers, chip factories, and computer factories is expected to generate significant employment opportunities across various trade professions, including electricians, plumbers, construction workers, and steelworkers.

Huang emphasized that many of these jobs can offer six-figure salaries without requiring a computer science doctorate. He highlighted the importance of skilled trades in AI infrastructure development and noted that people should be able to earn a strong living through such professions.

A report by Fortune cited McKinsey estimates that the United States will require an additional 130,000 electricians, 240,000 construction laborers, and 150,000 construction supervisors between 2023 and 2030 to meet demand for AI-related construction projects.
