AI-Driven Travel Planning Now Live on Google Search
Google Search's AI Mode has expanded its capabilities to aid in vacation planning. Users can now track flight prices, explore hotel options, and even book a stay directly through the platform.
The new features are based on user prompts, allowing individuals to specify their travel dates, destinations, and preferences. For instance, asking AI Mode 'Help me find some nonstop flights from New York to San Diego from August 31 to September 6' will yield relevant results, including price tracking and alerts for when prices drop.
The AI Mode can also show the cost of flights in miles or reward points, partnering with airlines like Alaska Airlines and American Airlines. Moreover, users can book hotel stays directly through Google Play, with a range of participating hotels including Hilton and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
These updates are currently available for use in select languages and locations, excluding the European Economic Area.
