AI Era Requires New Skills Stack: Judgment, Context, Human Capabilities
At Storyboard18's Global GenZ Summit, Microsoft India & South Asia President Puneet Chandok and GrowthSchool founder Vaibhav Sisinty discussed how artificial intelligence is changing the skills required for work.
The two speakers emphasized that AI is not just about providing answers but also generating finished outputs. They pointed out that users are no longer seeking answers to specific questions but rather using AI to generate presentations, products, and documents.
Sisinty stressed the importance of distinguishing between execution and judgment, saying 'when execution is no more a human mode, what is?' He advised against treating AI like a vending machine, where users simply input a prompt and take the output without context or challenge. Instead, he recommended providing context, challenging responses, and working through problems with AI.
Chandok described AI as a 'reasoning partner' rather than a tool for answering questions. He emphasized that users need to bring their own judgment and context to interactions with AI, rather than relying on generic models to understand individual or organizational contexts.
