AI Firms Engage in High-Stakes Auction for Bankrupt Airline's Data
A fresh bid for Spirit Airlines' data has emerged in a high-stakes auction that could see artificial intelligence (AI) firm Micro1 outbid Google.
The auction, sparked by Spirit's bankruptcy, has seen several bidders vying for the airline's vast dataset, which includes over 100 million emails, 500 million Microsoft Teams messages, and more than 30 million lines of code.
Micro1's offer of $12.5 million tops Google's winning bid of $10 million, according to recent reports. The new bid comes after a court postponement due to employee data privacy concerns.
