AI Paradox Shifts in Favor of American Software Companies
The so-called 'paradox of AI' has shifted in favor of American software companies. Initially, concerns arose that AI would replace existing IT services and take away work from related companies by automating software development and knowledge labor.
However, as AI evolved from simple task automation to the era of 'agents' (AI secretaries), it has become apparent that AI needs to connect with the existing work system. This is tightly held by US software companies such as Microsoft, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and CrowdStrike.
The shares of these four companies have surged more than 20% in the past month, attracting investors' attention again. The era has come when AI handles everything on its own, but it will meet a 'wall' that external AI cannot penetrate at the corporate site, the company's security confidential information, internal business processes, and customer relationship data accumulated over the decades.
AI assistants must access such data and systems to carry out commands from the 'human owner'. To get permission to enter this wall, companies have to pay Microsoft, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and CrowdStrike. As a result, US software stock earnings and stock prices are rebounding.
