Air China's Boeing 747-8 aircraft was damaged during refueling at New York JFK Airport on August 31, causing a cancellation of its scheduled flight to Beijing Capital Airport.

The incident occurred when the fuel truck moved away from the plane while hoses were still connected, damaging the wing refueling ports and spilling jet fuel onto the apron.

No one was injured in the accident, but the damage is being reported as minor. The aircraft, registration B-2486, had landed at JFK on August 30 and was scheduled to depart for Beijing at 2:05 AM the next morning.
