Air India Expands Canadian Network with New Routes
India's flag carrier Air India is launching new Canadian routes for the upcoming Northern Winter season. The airline will operate non-stop flights between Mumbai and Toronto, starting on October 25, 2026, three times a week using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
The seasonal service will conclude on March 26, 2027. Additionally, Air India has changed its Delhi to Toronto operation, with seven out of ten weekly flights switching to the newer Boeing 787-9 aircraft by early 2027.
Earlier in 2026, Air India cut capacity to Canada due to elevated fuel prices and airspace restrictions, but demand for travel between India and Canada remained strong. The airline has been making efforts to reduce disruption and cut unprofitable links while ensuring flights meet profitability targets.
