Air India Expands Capacity in Canada with New Mumbai-Toronto Flights and Upgraded Aircraft
Air India is set to launch its seasonal non-stop flights from Mumbai to Toronto on October 25, marking an expansion of the airline's capacity in Canada.
The new service will operate three times a week until March 26, 2027, and will be the only direct flights between the two cities during the winter season. The deployment of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on Delhi-Toronto flights is also part of Air India's expansion plans.
The new Mumbai-Toronto flights will offer upgraded cabin products, including eight First Class suites, 40 Business Class flat beds and 280 Economy seats, as well as onboard Wi-Fi connectivity. The airline aims to increase premium seat capacity to Toronto by 71% with the introduction of its new aircraft.
Air India's Chief Commercial Officer, Nipun Aggarwal, said that Canada is one of Air India's most important international markets, with strong demand for travel driven by people-to-people connections. The launch of the seasonal Mumbai-Toronto service will provide travelers with more choice and convenience.
