Air India Explores New Routes to Adelaide or Brisbane in 2026
Air India is considering adding new routes to its Australian destinations in 2026. The airline, which is owned by Tata Group, currently operates daily flights from Delhi to Melbourne and Sydney.
The proposed service will likely be operated using refurbished Boeing 787 aircraft, with the launch timeline dependent on their return from Air India's ongoing retrofit program.
Air India's expansion plans are closely linked to its fleet modernization efforts. The airline is expected to receive around five new wide-body aircraft in 2026, including Boeing 787 and Airbus A350-1000 planes.
