Air India Pilot Dies During Boeing 787 Training at Delhi Hotel

An Air India pilot was found dead in a room at a five-star hotel in Delhi's Vasant Kunj on September 11. The pilot, identified as Sunny Asaldekar, had checked into The Grand Hotel on September 10 and was undergoing training to operate the Boeing 787 aircraft.

According to police, the flight captain was found unconscious and unresponsive inside his room after his brother contacted the hotel manager. The hotel manager used a master key to open the door and found the pilot in this state. He was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him 'brought dead'.

Air India confirmed the death of the cockpit crew member, stating that he was on a layover rest at a hotel in Delhi when he was found unconscious. The airline is extending support to his family during this time of grief.
