Air India Pilot Dies in Cardiac Arrest While on Layover
An Air India pilot died of cardiac arrest while on a layover rest at a hotel in New Delhi, according to an airline statement. The pilot was found unconscious on Friday evening and was immediately taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
The pilot, who had earlier worked with Air India Express, was undergoing conversion training for operating wide-body Boeing 787 aircraft. He was scheduled to operate a flight early on Saturday morning but unfortunately did not make it.
