Air India Takes Flight to Toronto with New Mumbai Route
Air India is expanding its operations in Canada for the Winter 2026-27 season by introducing a new non-stop service between Mumbai and Toronto. The airline will be the only carrier operating direct flights between the two cities during this period.
The new service, which starts on October 25, 2026, and runs until March 26, 2027, will add nearly 2,000 seats every week to the route. It will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring eight First Class suites, forty Business Class flat-bed seats, and 280 Economy Class seats.
Air India is also upgrading its Delhi-Toronto flights with the deployment of its Boeing 787-9 aircraft on seven of the airline's ten weekly services. The remaining three weekly services will continue to operate with a Boeing 777-300ER before transitioning to the Boeing 787-9 from January 2027.
