Airbus Surpasses Boeing in Mid-Year Aircraft Deliveries
Airbus has surpassed Boeing in aircraft deliveries as of mid-2026. This shift comes after a strong second quarter for Airbus, which saw significant improvements in supply chain management and resumed Chinese handovers.
In the first half of 2026, Airbus delivered 351 aircraft, led by 190 A320neos. Boeing handed over 307 jets, mostly 737 MAX models. Airbus regained the lead in May after resolving administrative delays affecting 20 planes bound for China.
Airbus's June deliveries hit a record high of 89 units, its highest monthly total that year. This surge was partly due to improved supplier performance and reduced engine supply issues.
